Summary:

Day 1 Ljubljana:

Flight arrival at the airport of your choice, we recommend either of Ljubljana, Zagreb or Venice Marco Polo airport.

Personalised “meet & greet” in the airport arrivals hall.

Day 2 Postojna Caves, Predjama Castle and Lake Bled:

Full day private tour to the Postojna Caves and Predjama Castle, concluding in Lake Bled

Featuring a guided tour of the Postojna Caves, a self guided audio tour of Predjama Castle and a guided orientation road tour around Bled.

Assistance with your hotel check in.

Overnight in Lake Bled.

Day 3 Lake Bled, Bled Castle, the Vintgar Gorge, Lake Bohinj and the Mt. Vogel Cable Car:

Full day private tour around the local region, including guided visits to Bled Castle, the Vintgar Gorge, a road tour through the Bohinj Valley to Lake Bohinj and a ride on the Mt. Vogel cable car.

Rest of the day at leisure. We recommend a stroll around the lake, a boat trip to the island or afternoon tea with cream cakes (kremna rezina) at a lakeside cafe.

Overnight in Lake Bled.

Day 4 Julian Alps, Soca Valley and Goriska Brda:

Full day private tour to the Julian Alps, Soca Valley and Goriska Brda, the so called “Tuscany of Slovenia”.

Featuring some fabulous alpine scenery with lots of photo breaks along the way.

Optional guided walk along the banks of the River Soca Valley to the Kozjak waterfall, optional visit to the First World War Museum in Kobarid, optional wine tasting in Goriska Brda.

Day 5 Vipava Valley, Slovenian Karst & Adriatic and Piran:

Full day private tour through the Vipava Valley, the Slovenian Karst region and the Slovenian Adriatic, concluding in Piran.

Featuring a private road tour through the country lanes of the Vipava Valley and the Slovenian Karst, a sightseeing and refreshment break at Stanjel, and onwards to the Slovenian Adriatic and Piran.

Day 7 Groznjan and Rovinj:

Half day private tour to Rovinj, including the Istrian village of Groznjan.

Featuring a road tour through the Istrian hills and sightseeing at the village of Groznjan, a charming location which has become synonymous with artists and traditional craftsmanship, including painting, handmade glassware, ceramics and textiles.

Guided orientation walk around the old town and harbour front of Rovinj, with the rest of the day at leisure.

Day 8 Rovinj:

Free day at leisure in Rovinj.

We recommend exploring the Venetian style narrow cobbled streets and ornate squares of Rovinj old town, refreshments and “people watching” at a waterside cafe, and taking a relaxing stroll along the pine tree lined coastal footpath that weaves its way past numerous small bays and rocky coves.

Overnight in Rovinj.

Day 9 Motovun, Hum, Senj and the Plitvice Lakes National Park:

Full day private tour including guided sightseeing visits to Motovun, Hum and Senj, en route to the Plitvice Lakes National Park.

Featuring the medieval hilltop village of Motovun, the quaint hamlet of Hum – officially recognised as “the smallest town in the world” – and the attractive and historic coastal town of Senj, concluding the day at the Plitvice Lakes National Park.

Overnight in the Plitvice Lakes National Park.

Day 10 Plitvice Lakes National Park:

Full day guided walk around the Plitvice Lakes National Park with a local specialist park guide.

Featuring the return transfers between your hotel and the park entrance, a guided walking tour and several boat trips around the most attractive sections of the Plitvice Lakes National Park, with its numerous lakes and waterfalls.

The route and length of your guided walk will be tailored to your walking ability and general fitness level.

Day 11 Zagreb:

At the time of making your enquiry we will check the current availability and room rates for our first choice hotel selections, and these details will be included with your custom made itinerary and quotation.

2) Your entrance fees at visitor attractions:

All of the entrance fees at the various visitor attractions or activities which are included in your itinerary are covered, unless these are stated as “optional”, in which case you will need to pay for these.

3) Local guides:

In addition to the general guidance and recommendations provided by Graeme, your personal driver and tour manager for your entire tour, you will enjoy the services of local city guides in various locations. Several of the guided tours provided by the visitor attractions listed above include local specialist guides.

4) Other services:

Orientation and guidance at each overnight location including local restaurant recommendations, assistance with your luggage between the vehicle and the hotel lobby, hotel check-in assistance, 24/7 emergency contact.
